Who processes your data

Controller: Elian Trade OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, registry code 12040944, Mahtra tn 1a, 13811 Tallinn, Estonia. Contact: info@boltesla.ee. App website: cargafree.es.

CargaFree is an Android app that notifies you when an electric-vehicle charging point you have chosen becomes free. It has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and it does not sell data.

What the app processes and why

1. Location (only if you allow it). Used on the device to show your position on the map and to search for nearby charging points. The coordinates of the area you search (the map centre or a point you enter manually) are part of the requests the app sends to the data servers of charging-point operators (see "Third parties"). The app does not collect your location in the background.

2. Favourite stations, custom names and settings. Stored only on your device. We have no servers and do not receive this data.

3. Technical request identifier. To query station status the app generates a random identifier that is not linked to you or your device and changes every time the app restarts; requests also contain a fixed device-model string that does not describe your device.

4. Purchases. The subscription is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we do not receive your card or bank details. The app checks with Google Play whether the subscription is active.

5. Notifications. Created on the device when a watched station becomes free. While watching is on, the app runs a foreground service that periodically queries the status of the stations you selected.

Third parties that receive data

Charging-point operators (their data servers): the app queries them for station status and tariffs. Those requests include the coordinates of the searched area and the technical identifier described above. Each operator's own privacy policy applies.
OpenStreetMap (map): map images are downloaded from OpenStreetMap Foundation servers, which receive the map area you view and your IP address. Policy: osmfoundation.org.
Google Play: app distribution, subscriptions and payments. Policy: policies.google.com.
Navigation apps and the charging operator's app: opened only when you tap "Route" or the booking button; their own policies apply from that point.

We share data with no other third party.

Retention

Data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We keep no data on servers of our own, because we have none.

Your rights

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) you may access, rectify or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Estonia, Andmekaitse Inspektsioon; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos). Because all app data lives on your device, you can delete it yourself at any time. For any question write to info@boltesla.ee.

Children

The app is intended for drivers and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with its update date.
